+ I come from a different martial arts background. Is MiM still for me?
Absolutely! We believe that mindful movement can be studied to improve any style of martial art. In fact, one of our key maxims is 'Engine over style, precision over power.'
+ I'm more interested in the mindful movement bit... but not getting in to fights!
Our training is rooted in the Chinese Martial Arts, however, our focus in developing a harmonised body that is capable of true mindful movement. This is perfect for all sorts of sports and exercise. We have students who use MiM to improve their climbing, golf, tennis, etc.
+ Do I need to be fit or experienced?
No prior martial arts, mindfulness, or fitness experience is needed. MiM meets you where you are—and challenges you to explore what’s possible in a safe, supportive, and focused space.
